The experience of transition from using digital locks in Korea to traditional keys in the Netherlands turned a practical tool into a source of fascination. Forming the personal “key routine” - such as carrying, using, and hearing the key - made the key feel like an extension of my body and carried the whole house within the key everywhere I went. This inspired to create a large, non-functional key as an art piece, challenging the traditional view of keys and raising questions about their actual meaning. Morse code on the bits represents the infinite symbolic potential and personal meaning that the key holds.
